12.1” Touchscreen Display Expands Advanced Product Lineup

Powered by the G2H2 controller, this general-purpose module incorporates an industrial panel with an integrated projected capacitive touch screen designed for applications that demand long-term availability. With a Freescale i.MX 6Solo processor, the module offers a wealth of I/O interfaces for connecting to other sections of a medical or industrial product.

Reach Technology, today announced a new Linux Touchscreen 12.1” module that helps engineers add user interfaces with scrolling, sliding, transparencies, 3D graphics, and animations. Like all Reach products, these modules are designed for long-term availability with a 10+ year processor life and a multi-sourced, industry standard LCD form factor.

The 12.1” Standard Projected Capacitive Display Module (Product Part: 51-0406-0D2) uses a WXGA (1280×800) LCD with LED backlight and comes with integrated touch. It uses the G2H2 controller which is powered by a Freescale i.MX 6Solo Industrial, 1.0 Ghz core processor, and offers a wealth of I/O interfaces for connecting to other sections of a medical or industrial product such as 10/100/1000 Mbps Base-T Ethernet, one RS232 and one 3.3V CMOS Serial Por, one RS485, one USB 2.0 (High Speed) Host Port, one USB 2.0 (High Speed) On-The-Go (OTG) Host/Device Port, one I2C Port, one CAN bus with Onboard Transceiver, and an 8-bit GPIO Port 5-V Tolerant. Modules come with a dedicated Linux console port, 512 MB DDR3 DRAM onboard, 512 MB NAND Flash / 16 MB NOR Flash, microSD Flash card socket, backlight brightness control, and audio codec with an onboard beeper.
